Bunsik β Korean street-food snacks β evolved as affordable, filling fare for students and workers after the Korean War. Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), kimbap (seaweed rice rolls), sundae (blood sausage), and odeng (fish cake skewers in broth) are the staples. Most bunsik restaurants are fast, casual, and open late, making them a go-to for a quick hot meal at any hour.
Mapo-gu β home to Hongdae, Sinchon, and Hapjeong β is Seoul's youth and arts district, defined by its university population, live music venues, and creative energy. The food scene is diverse, affordable, and experimental: trendy cafΓ©s, late-night pojangmacha, global street food, and boundary-pushing restaurants all compete for attention in this perpetually buzzing neighbourhood.

View all βVery fast and attentive service by crew, with guidance on what sauce to eat with each part of the meat. The meats are flavourful and tasted good. Service crew is very friendly from the walk-in registration to ordering and food preparation table-side. They can speak good English too.
Arrived for dinner and it was packed with locals. Was a relatively decent wait of about 30min before there was a table. Inside was quite cramped and loud. Service was good, the staff did all the BBQ-ing and the intestines tasted nice and fresh! We ordered the raw beef by mistake and asked if we could cook it on the grill and the staff kindly helped us with it. We got a free soft drink by writing this review too but genuinely did enjoy the meal very much. Meal was on the pricier side but wouldnβt mind for the service and taste!
I went twice on this Seoul trip! π°π· The must-recommended for Gopchang lovers. If you want to try intestines, either beef or pork, an English menu is available. π€€ #Seoul #Gopchang #Intestines #Beef #Pork #Menu
