About 분식

Bunsik — Korean street-food snacks — evolved as affordable, filling fare for students and workers after the Korean War. Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), kimbap (seaweed rice rolls), sundae (blood sausage), and odeng (fish cake skewers in broth) are the staples. Most bunsik restaurants are fast, casual, and open late, making them a go-to for a quick hot meal at any hour.

About Mapo-Gu

Mapo-gu — home to Hongdae, Sinchon, and Hapjeong — is Seoul's youth and arts district, defined by its university population, live music venues, and creative energy. The food scene is diverse, affordable, and experimental: trendy cafés, late-night pojangmacha, global street food, and boundary-pushing restaurants all compete for attention in this perpetually buzzing neighbourhood.

This place is really good. Bulgogi is the best I'll be back with my friends!

This place is really delicious. The kimchi soup is very tasty, and there's plenty of meat. You'll have to wait for a table at lunchtime. It's one of the few good restaurants in the area.

It's surprisingly crowded during lunchtime. Kimchi stew comes out in a clay pot. 9,000 won. Someone who wanted stew suggested I get kimchi stew. I asked if it was spicy and they said they'd leave out the green chili peppers. Better than the side dishes 🍖 The side dishes were also delicious, like the seasoned radish salad. Writing a Naver review was a drink*buy. I paid in advance. I added some cellophane noodles after writing the review, and it was delicious. The stew served 2-3 people, so I was full, but it was a shame to have leftovers. Because it's an old building, the bathroom is unisex, even with a password. There's no door inside, so you have to lock it.
