Known for Japanese cuisine, this spot draws diners from across Seoul.
9 min walk from Hongdae Station Station, making it easy to combine your meal with a visit to nearby attractions like Hongdae Guide: Seoul's Indie Music & Nightlife Hub.
Japanese cuisine has deep roots in Seoul, shaped by geographic proximity and a long shared history. Seoul-style Japanese restaurants range from affordable sushi conveyor belts and ramen shops to high-end omakase counters. Quality fish is flown in daily, and Korean chefs often put their own spin on Japanese classics — thicker broths, spicier condiments, and seasonal Korean ingredients woven into traditional recipes.
Mapo-gu — home to Hongdae, Sinchon, and Hapjeong — is Seoul's youth and arts district, defined by its university population, live music venues, and creative energy. The food scene is diverse, affordable, and experimental: trendy cafés, late-night pojangmacha, global street food, and boundary-pushing restaurants all compete for attention in this perpetually buzzing neighbourhood.

View all →Fantastic marinated raw crab and shrimp joint. The flavor was perfect, it was not salty at all! Very fresh, we opt for the premium crabs and the portion was enough for 2+1
The restaurant has many tables, no waot if arriving early. There are several options, 3 options that are all-you-can-eat, 2 options are 'no-refill'. All-you-can-eat is male crab, so less roes. No refill options are female crab, which are bigger with roe. Most items on the set can be refilled with some exceptions. There is also a self serve salad bar, which also have seaweed soup. There are disposable gloves for handling the crabs. Each table must order the same set. I went for the All-you-can-eat option the first few crab felt less fresh, but the later ones were much better. I also loke the soy sauce one along better than the chilli ones. Raw prawns were also fresh.
Just get the premium set because the meat is more shiok than the refillable one. Overall the experience was good. The stew and sides were nice too.
