Overview

About This Place

N Seoul Tower (남산서울타워)

Standing 236 meters tall atop Namsan Mountain, N Seoul Tower is Seoul's most recognizable landmark — and the backdrop for the jaw-dropping finale of Netflix's KPop Demon Hunters.

In the film, Huntrix faces off against the demon ruler Gwi-Ma in an epic battle beneath a fictional pentagonal stadium built around the tower.

The KPop Demon Hunters Connection

The tower appears multiple times throughout the film, but its most memorable role is as the setting for the climactic final battle.

As Huntrix channels the power of music to seal the "혼문" (Soul Gate), the tower's silhouette glows against Seoul's night skyline — a scene that has become iconic among fans worldwide.

  • Final Battle Scene: The pentagonal arena beneath the tower where Saja Boys perform and Gwi-Ma feeds on energy
  • Soul Gate Sealing: Huntrix completes the protective barrier (결계) at the tower's base
  • Night Skyline Shots: Multiple establishing shots use the tower as Seoul's visual anchor

What to See & Do

  • Observation Deck: 360-degree panoramic views of Seoul from the digital observatory
  • Love Lock Fence: Attach a padlock to the terrace railing — a tradition popularized by K-dramas
  • Namsan Cable Car: Scenic 3-minute ride up the mountain (₩11,000 one-way)
  • Walking Trails: Multiple hiking paths through Namsan Park's forested slopes
  • Night Visit: The tower illuminates in different colors — best photographed with a telephoto lens

Fan Photo Spots

For the best recreation of the movie's tower shots:

  • Base Plaza: Stand at the observation deck entrance for the "looking up at the tower" angle from the battle scene
  • Namsan Octagonal Pavilion: Capture the tower with traditional architecture in the foreground
  • From Itaewon/Haebangchon: Get the distant skyline shot that opens the finale sequence

Practical Information

  • Hours: 10:00AM – 11:00PM (observation deck closes 10:30PM)
  • Admission: ₩16,000 (observatory) / Free (outdoor terrace)
  • Duration: 1.5–2 hours
  • Nearest Station: Myeongdong Station (Line 4) or Chungmuro Station (Line 3/4), then Namsan shuttle bus #02
