About 한식
Korean cuisine (hansik) is built around balance — fermented sides (banchan), a steaming bowl of rice, and a main dish that changes with the season. Meals are served all at once rather than in courses, and sharing dishes at the table is the norm. The depth of flavor comes from slow-fermented pastes like doenjang (soybean) and gochujang (chili), which form the backbone of soups, stews, and marinades across the country.
About Seongdong-Gu
Seongdong-gu's Seongsu-dong has transformed from an industrial zone into Seoul's most talked-about food and culture district. Nicknamed 'Seoul's Brooklyn,' it hosts artisan roasters, pop-up restaurants, and concept cafés in renovated factories alongside high-end boutiques. The food scene rewards curiosity — the best spots are often down an alleyway or behind an unmarked door.

I thought it would be oily because it's a place that serves naejangtang (braised intestines), but it was surprisingly light. I thought it might be bland, but the fried rice was the main dish. It was definitely delicious. The restaurant was lively, and the staff were incredibly cheerful and pleasant to look at. Oh, and there were a lot of egg yolks.
They were so kind. The chicken gizzard soup I tried for the first time was spicy and delicious.
I visited this place after watching a YouTube video about old, established restaurants. It was an unfamiliar dish, but it was so delicious. I usually don't like offal, but this didn't have any unpleasant smell at all and was all nice and chewy. The broth was spicy and super tasty... Even though they were busy, the owner was so kind, which was a great plus.👏👏
