After dinner, I followed a friend to the Homaesil branch of Insaeng Dried Fish Beer for a second round.
Even though the temperature wasn't yet high in the evenings, the doors were already wide open, creating a wonderful sense of openness.
The interior is rather small, but the soft lighting and natural wood-toned atmosphere created a unique atmosphere that enhanced the taste of the alcohol.
As expected from a dried fish specialty restaurant specializing in dried snacks, most of the menu featured dried fish, though there were plenty of non-dried snacks as well.
I only had beer, and the draft beer, served in a frozen glass, was particularly refreshing and delicious.
The welcome snack was a mayonnaise sauce with seaweed and soy sauce. I tore this up and dipped it in the mayonnaise before the main course arrived, which was quite a treat.
The first appetizer, semi-dried squid, was plump and evenly grilled, creating a soft yet chewy texture that paired perfectly with beer.
The second dish, jwipo (squid with dried fish), was thick and chewy, offering a delightful texture.
The atmosphere was pleasant, but the staff were especially friendly and welcoming, making me feel very pampered.
Perhaps it was the atmosphere that made the group at the next table happy and energetic until the very end.
When summer finally arrives, I'll definitely be back to enjoy some dried fish and a refreshing, ice-cold draft beer.
