Korean cuisine (hansik) is built around balance — fermented sides (banchan), a steaming bowl of rice, and a main dish that changes with the season. Meals are served all at once rather than in courses, and sharing dishes at the table is the norm. The depth of flavor comes from slow-fermented pastes like doenjang (soybean) and gochujang (chili), which form the backbone of soups, stews, and marinades across the country.
Gangnam-gu is Seoul's upscale business and entertainment district south of the Han River. Home to K-pop entertainment companies, COEX Mall, and the Apgujeong-Rodeo shopping strip, it attracts young professionals, tourists, and K-drama fans. Restaurants here tend toward the polished and premium, with a density of international cuisine, high-end Korean dining, and trendy cafés.

View all →Here’s an honest review. If there’s an option not to give a star for service, I would have done so. 1. We were quickly led to the table. No explanation and sorts. 2. Even though we arrived early at 7pm, the finger ribs were sold out! I know it’s limited but at 7pm?!? 3. The server who cooked our meat (VERY QUICKLY, the entire 2 slabs of ribeye), has ZERO customer service. Cooked our Rib eye to medium well! Helloooo, you are in a restaurant serving HANWOO beef, how can you cook it to medium well?? Even if we didn’t mention how we like our beef cooked, should you ask? 4. We ordered the cold noodle, in most restaurant, they will bring along the vinegar and mustard to serve with it. In this restaurant, we waited, waited…You have to ASK for it 5. We asked for sesame oil to go along with our beef, The server thought we had asked for some Chinese numbing chilli oil and replied to us in mandarin, they don’t have any. We said no, we want ‘fragrant oil’ in mandarin. She shook her head and said no we don’t have, this is NOT a Chinese restaurant. So i showed her my google translate, and finally her ‘already bias’ mind woke up! Oh sesame oil. Yes we have. Again… typical condiments which should be served with food.. YOU HAVE TO ASK FOR IT! 6. Now the beef, I had hanwoo beef in my previous trip and it was nice, not the melt in you mouth Japanese Wagyu Don’t expect it to be like Japanese wagyu. Hanwoo beef hast much stronger Beef flavours! It will not melt in your mouth but in the restaurant, the beef were TOUGH! Almost two thirds of what we put in our mouth were NOT CHEWABLE. Even the beef Tatar… we only ate half of it 7. As we made payment, I looked at the chiller where they kept the beef… There I see BEEF FINGER RIBS! which was supposed to sold out. Lots of them In summary, this is not a very foreign friendly place. You seriously need to work on your service levels, it’s unbelievable that we received such poor service from a restaurant highly recommended by our Korean friend. Good luck, you won’t be expecting us or any of our friends.
