What Visitors Say

This is a relatively new gamjatang restaurant. I hadn't even known about this place because there is such a famous gamjatang restaurant nearby, but I decided to visit while I was there! I wanted to try gamjatang rather than bone haejanguk, so I ordered it, and I made the right choice. It's delicious. The menu is diverse, so I think I should try ordering other dishes next time.

Red Gamjatang. I saw a dish on Instagram featuring huge fried pork backbones, dazzlingly drizzled with mayonnaise. I wondered if anyone would go there if it was fried food covered in mayonnaise. My brother and a friend were having a hard time deciding on a dinner spot, so I jokingly suggested this place, and my brother said it was a place he'd always wanted to go to. So we went. Naturally, I ordered the fried pork backbones. The red broth they brought out first was a soup with a strong MSG kick, with dried radish greens. Perhaps my expectations had been lowered after tasting the soup. Contrary to the Instagram post, the fried pork backbones topped with seasoned green onions were surprisingly delicious. Coated in curry powder and fried, they were odorless. After frying, they were mixed with teriyaki sauce and drizzled with mayonnaise, making them not greasy, but with an addictive sweet and salty flavor. The meat was generous, and the seasoned green onions complemented it well. While the food was delicious, I was disappointed that the price felt a bit high and that I couldn't fully appreciate the pork's charm. I realized I need to let go of my preconceptions about restaurants that focus on excessive plating for social media. Of course, those preconceptions stem from repeated experiences, but at the very least, I think it's best to let go of the idea of completely avoiding them.

I went there because I heard they had a combination of octopus and grilled bones😀 The smoky flavor was just right for my taste!! Next time, I'm planning to visit again with friends to try the curry grilled bones and bone cutlet!! It's a great restaurant👍
