About Dongdaemun-Gu

Dongdaemun-gu is a 24-hour neighbourhood defined by its massive fashion markets, which draw wholesale buyers and night shoppers around the clock. The food scene is fast, cheap, and designed for people who eat at unconventional hours — naengmyeon restaurants that open at midnight, pojangmacha that come alive at 3am, and kalguksu shops that have served the same recipe for fifty years.

A tonkatsu specialty chain restaurant Located a 2-minute walk from Exit 6 of Jegi-dong Station. The tenderloin x sirloin katsu costs 14,900 won. What's with the noodles? This restaurant offers both sirloin and tenderloin in one dish. The prices are a bit high for a chain restaurant. The tenderloin is quite tender, with a distinct meaty flavor. The sirloin has a chewy texture rather than a rich flavor, which strangely complements the dish. I usually prefer tonkatsu dipped in salt, but here, the tonkatsu sauce is strangely appealing. The occasional hint of wasabi seems to complement the sweet sauce. Side dishes include young radish kimchi and kimchi, and cabbage salad, rice balls, and noodles. And the most surprising thing about this place is the noodles! They come in bite-sized portions, and the rich broth pairs surprisingly well with the tonkatsu. A much better option than the mediocre soup. These noodles are a refreshing way to finish off a tonkatsu meal. At this level, they could easily be sold as a separate menu. The restaurant is on the small side, but there are plenty of tables. There are single and two-person tables, making it convenient for solo diners. Orders are placed at the table kiosks, and payment is made at the counter after the meal. The restaurant's interior and menu selection are charming, and the restaurant boasts the cleanliness expected of a chain restaurant. As a tonkatsu chain, aside from the price, it's overall satisfactory.

Wonderful friendly staff and very tasty dishes! We came to Seoul for a month as tourists and lived in a neighboring house, so we came back here again and again, every evening! Thank you for everything, we will miss you
