About 경양식

Western food has been localized in Seoul over decades, emerging as something distinctly Korean in the process. Demi-glace pork cutlets, cream pasta with kimchi, and French-style brunch menus sit alongside Italian pizza and American burgers in Seoul's eclectic restaurant landscape. Many younger Korean chefs trained abroad and returned to open restaurants that blend European technique with Korean ingredients and sensibility.

About Gangnam-Gu

Gangnam-gu is Seoul's upscale business and entertainment district south of the Han River. Home to K-pop entertainment companies, COEX Mall, and the Apgujeong-Rodeo shopping strip, it attracts young professionals, tourists, and K-drama fans. Restaurants here tend toward the polished and premium, with a density of international cuisine, high-end Korean dining, and trendy cafés.

Booked ahead and got a cozy private room for dinner. The Korean beef tartare was a standout—perfectly marinated and easily one of the best I’ve had. Our server was incredibly kind, efficient, and recommended two BBQ cuts that were tender, juicy, and grilled to perfection right at the table. The banchan (side dishes) were plentiful and packed with flavor. The walls are covered with celebrity signatures, which adds to the charm of this well-loved spot. While it’s on the pricier side and the decor is simple, it feels authentically inviting. A memorable dining experience!

Just casually walked in as I was around the area not knowing this place is visited by many celebrities including running man casts and cha eun woo. Not a fan but that says a lot. I wasn't expecting crew to speak English but they do it’s funny because I went to a nearby clinic because they cater to foreigners but the doctor and workers don’t speak english. Anyway, food in general is great maybe next time will try grilled dishes. Btw, the salad is my favorite I asked for a refill.

The yukhoe tasted great. A great umami/sweet flavour with sesame oil. The portion was a bit small though for the price. I believe I paid 21,000 Won for the yukhoe. I would actually go back again. Got there around 12:30 and was seated pretty much straight away without much of a wait. The side dishes were mostly great. Wasn't the biggest fan of the cabbage kimchi and the brown jelly like thing. The lady at the tills when we were paying wasn't the nicest.
