About 한식

Korean cuisine (hansik) is built around balance — fermented sides (banchan), a steaming bowl of rice, and a main dish that changes with the season. Meals are served all at once rather than in courses, and sharing dishes at the table is the norm. The depth of flavor comes from slow-fermented pastes like doenjang (soybean) and gochujang (chili), which form the backbone of soups, stews, and marinades across the country.

About Eunpyeong-Gu

Eunpyeong-gu sits at the northwestern edge of Seoul, where the city meets the mountains of Bukhansan National Park. The area has a quiet, residential character with a food scene that reflects its local community — traditional Korean home-style cooking, neighbourhood pojangmacha, and teahouses tucked between hiking trail entrances.

What Visitors Say

It's been a while since I've been here, and the taste is still the same. Maybe because they moved from the district office, there aren't many customers, but the restaurant looks much cleaner and more welcoming. I was a little taken aback because the oyster pancake wasn't what I expected; it was more like a regular pancake.

We had dinner at this restaurant as it was conveniently located next to our hotel, and it turned out to be an amazing experience! The staff and owner were incredibly welcoming—when they known that we were foreigners visiting for the first time, they went out of their way to guide us through the dining experience. They even helped cook the food for us until it was perfectly ready to eat! The dishes were absolutely delicious, bursting with flavor, and the interior was modern and beautifully designed, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. We highly recommend this place to everyone looking for great food and exceptional service!

The beef bosintang (10,000 won) is absolutely delicious! It's generous with meat, and it feels like you can't stop eating. The broth is rich and flavorful, and it's a dish you'll want to savor forever. The kimchi is also delicious. After eating it, I felt full all afternoon, and I couldn't stop thinking about it in the evening. I'll definitely be back soon. There's a large ground-level parking lot behind the building. Parking is free with a receipt. I plan to visit again!
