About 일식

Japanese cuisine has deep roots in Seoul, shaped by geographic proximity and a long shared history. Seoul-style Japanese restaurants range from affordable sushi conveyor belts and ramen shops to high-end omakase counters. Quality fish is flown in daily, and Korean chefs often put their own spin on Japanese classics — thicker broths, spicier condiments, and seasonal Korean ingredients woven into traditional recipes.

About Jung-Gu

Jung-gu sits at the geographic and commercial center of Seoul, encompassing Myeongdong (K-beauty and street food), Namdaemun Market, and the financial district. The food here spans the full range — from tourist-facing street stalls in Myeongdong to understated lunch joints serving office workers, and traditional Korean restaurants that have operated for decades without needing to advertise.

Here is the Automated Sushi restaurant. Wow it is really a unique experience to be here. At the entrance they place to a table with some number. After that you see a digital screen that includes the menu and all the pictures of all available food. So you order from the huge screen and wait. Your orders comes from the rail and orders of many other customers pass near you. So tat is weird to see sushis and bowls move around the trail next to you. You do not have to touch anything your order directly comes to your trail. You take it from there and enjoy. But there is no waiter interaction. Noone to ask a question. So you are on your own. The Manu in English is available. No worries. But I thing it is a must try activity. Prices are bit high compared to its taste.

This is not your typical American style sushi. It’s much more than that. The flavors and type of fish used are very unique. Best calamari I’ve ever had!

I really like sushiro. It was more expensive than in Japan and not as tasty but still good for a quick sushi. I always love the seared salmon ones!
