About 일식

Japanese cuisine has deep roots in Seoul, shaped by geographic proximity and a long shared history. Seoul-style Japanese restaurants range from affordable sushi conveyor belts and ramen shops to high-end omakase counters. Quality fish is flown in daily, and Korean chefs often put their own spin on Japanese classics — thicker broths, spicier condiments, and seasonal Korean ingredients woven into traditional recipes.

About Yangcheon-Gu

Yangcheon-gu's Mok-dong district is known for its sports facilities and family-focused dining culture. Restaurants here cater to families and local residents with comfort-focused menus — Korean BBQ, jjajangmyeon, and Japanese-style pork cutlets are neighbourhood staples.

★★★★★김경선10 months ago

Soup isn't included in the set, but it's available upon request. I'm not sure if this restaurant's soup is originally like this, but the one I had tasted burnt. It tasted like soybean paste, if you think about it positively. The ingredients that went on top of the rice were served so dry that they seemed completely drained. I liked that there wasn't too much rice, and the sushi didn't have wasabi, which was even better because it was served separately. I was able to fully enjoy the sushi flavor without any tingling sensation. The steamed egg had a mysterious flavor. For some reason, I was surprised to taste tomato flavor. These days, there are many inexpensive sushi restaurants, so the price might seem high compared to others. However, considering the ingredients, like ankimo, mouth-filling abalone, tuna belly, and flounder fin, it's incredibly satisfying. It was so delicious that I even poured all the broth over the mini cold buckwheat noodles.

Sushi and spicy fish stew, soju and tokkuri are good after work.

The portions are generous and the sushi is delicious.
