I was hoping to have a bowl of bone haejangguk (Korean bone soup) on my return to Korea after a long time, but I was extremely disappointed. I used to be a regular at Namdareun Gamjatang (spicy gamjatang) near the Eulji Hospital intersection, so I went there with confidence in the brand. But the meat wasn't cooked properly, so it was very dry, the vegetables were tough, and the portion was too small. The broth didn't taste as good as I'd hoped, and it was a bit (in a negative sense) like kimchi stew made with aged kimchi, a bit subpar. Even though the restaurant was extremely hot, they didn't seem to like the air conditioning, so they gave me a hint and told me to let them know if it was too hot. The fact that the water used was hutgaesu (Korean water), which was a huge plus, but they switched to tap water, etc., was disappointing in many ways. Even if it's a franchise, this isn't how they run their business...

It’s a place where it’s hard to order because I’m embarrassed by the name "Men's Soup," but the food is good. The downside is that you occasionally get dry meat, but generally, delicious cuts are served. Updated August 2025 The first photo is from a year ago when I first wrote the review, and the second photo was taken recently. I'm not sure if it shows well in the photos, but the amount of meat has decreased by one piece, and the cuts are dry.

A first-floor restaurant measuring approximately 30 pyeong (approximately 100 square meters). The young hostess provides friendly service. They also offer single-serving gamjatang (potato stew), which is delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend it.
