About Jongno-Gu

Jongno-gu is the historic heart of Seoul, containing Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, and Insadong's antique street. The area balances ancient and modern — traditional Korean restaurants, teahouses, and street food vendors operate alongside contemporary galleries and specialty coffee shops. Eating here feels like a connection to centuries of Seoul food culture.

Historical restaurant, eight years of Michelin listing. Food was good, old-fashioned taste. The seating was tight. Service and food was satisfying, but lacked something... don't know what. Long, long wait. Make sure you register your party at the kiosk. It's about 30 minutes wait during lunch time. You should try it, at least once. You have a great introduction and reference to good Korean food. Anything else you try will either be better or worst than here. It's a great benchmark.

Fast service and delicious food. The dumplings were large, fresh and juicy. Perfect combo to go with the buckwheat noodles. I went for the hot soup noodles as it was so cold outside and the broth was perfect to warm up with. Friendly helpful staff.

Mijin is on my revisit list whenever I am in Korea. I love their cold buckwheat noodles , and their bibim buckwheat noodles are good too! I personally would recommend the regular cold buckwheat noodles if it's your first time! I also love their pork cutlet because it's super soft and it's not too chewy. Even though you might wait if you go during peak hours, you won't have to worry because the turnover is super fast. A lot of company workers come here for lunch so everyone is in & out pretty quickly. If you don't want to wait, I recommend coming a little bit past lunch time or a little earlier so you can beat the crowd!
