About Jongno-Gu

Jongno-gu is the historic heart of Seoul, containing Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, and Insadong's antique street. The area balances ancient and modern — traditional Korean restaurants, teahouses, and street food vendors operate alongside contemporary galleries and specialty coffee shops. Eating here feels like a connection to centuries of Seoul food culture.

We just came for coffee but it was some of the best we ever had! My cappuccino was nothing short of perfect (strong yet smooth) and my wife had a mocca which she loved as well. Highly recommend for the atmosphere, coffee and the deserts (we didn’t have them but if they taste at least half as good as they look they must be amazing)

I've been wanting to visit this place for years, and I finally got to visit during strawberry season. The cafe wasn't as big as I'd expected, but it was on the first floor, so the view of Dongdaemun through the large windows was impressive. The pink table napkins, for example, showed me how carefully the strawberry theme was kept subtle without being overpowering. The dessert selection wasn't extensive, but the decorations were beautiful and tempting, making me want to try each one. Thankfully, the fresh strawberries were fresher and sweeter than I expected. They also offered hot dishes (pasta, shrimp cream, sesame oil buckwheat noodles, etc.) to provide a break between the sweet desserts, making alternating between them even more satisfying. The onion soup served in between was a nice palate cleanser, and after eating it, I felt like my stomach was a bit less heavy. It was a feast for the eyes, but I wish they had offered at least one spicy dish like tteokbokki to make the desserts less greasy.

I used the lounge in the hotel lobby. There were Christmas ornaments and it was really cute. The lounge had an open feel, so I was able to relax. The chairs were very comfortable. They were selling some cute and charming bonbon chocolates, so I decided to buy some.
