A restaurant specializing in gamjatang (potato stew).
A two-minute walk from Exit 10 of Gasan Digital Complex Station, located on the first floor of the Gasan W Center.
The bone haejangguk costs 10,000 won.
A paradise for solo diners~
This bone haejangguk features my favorite potato.
The billboard shows it as a whole potato, but it's actually two pieces.
The texture is also disappointing, as it doesn't break apart easily.
There are only two bones, but the meat is quite generous.
This portion is enough to fill one person.
However, the meat isn't tender, but rather a bit rough.
The mustard sauce makes it a nice addition.
The broth isn't overly rich, but it's decent.
The vegetables, however, are a bit on the strong side.
Coming to think of it, it would be even better if it was cooked a little longer. Kimchi and cubed radish kimchi are provided as side dishes, and pickled onions, peppers, and garlic are self-service.
Store & Tips & Overall Review
The store isn't particularly large, but there are plenty of tables.
There are also two-person tables, making it a great place to dine alone.
You don't have to wait for a table for two, and you can just sit down as soon as a table opens.
However, sitting alone at a four-person table during peak hours can be a bit of a hassle.
Order at your table and pay at the counter when you leave.
There used to be a Goguryeo Jjamppong chain, and it seems they use the same logo.
There are two entrances, but the one inside the building has a waiting board. Write your name and number of people on it and wait.
And as you leave, the staff member's words, "Come back again," strangely linger in your mind.
I can't remember the last time I heard "Come back again"!
