My wife and I visited Golmogjib after hearing strong recommendations from locals about its popularity. We expected a long wait, but surprisingly, we were seated almost immediately. The service moved quickly from there, our waiter set up the hotpot, arranged the ingredients, and began cooking right in front of us while explaining how to enjoy each combination. The moment the food hit the grill, the smell filled the air, rich, savoury, and impossible to resist.
The duck was the star of the meal. Juicy, tender, and flavourful, it paired beautifully with the sauces and vegetables. Every bite could be mixed differently, wrapped in lettuce, dipped in sauce, or eaten plain, and each version worked. The experience was interactive and satisfying, the kind of meal that keeps you experimenting with every mouthful.
We also tried the soup, which was decent but leaned a bit too powdery, likely from heavy seasoning. It wasn’t overly salty, but the texture felt thick and slightly off compared to the rest of the meal.
The highlight came at the end when the staff used the same pot to fry rice in the leftover flavours of the duck. The result was smoky, crisp, and deeply savoury, an excellent way to finish.
Golmogjib is a place that serves not just food, but an experience. Worth a visit if you want to watch your meal come alive right before your eyes.

Excellent food! Came here on recommendation of a friend. Just nod your head when offered their signature - duck bulgogi, seafood with vegetables and a finale of fried rice - with cheese! Superb.

Food is delicious. If you go at peak hours, there’s always a queue. Fast service. Better to get a set menu.
