About 한식

Korean cuisine (hansik) is built around balance — fermented sides (banchan), a steaming bowl of rice, and a main dish that changes with the season. Meals are served all at once rather than in courses, and sharing dishes at the table is the norm. The depth of flavor comes from slow-fermented pastes like doenjang (soybean) and gochujang (chili), which form the backbone of soups, stews, and marinades across the country.

About Yongsan-Gu

Yongsan-gu contains Itaewon — Seoul's most international neighbourhood — as well as the scenic Hannam district and Yongsan Electronics Market. Itaewon's food scene reflects its global community: Indian, Middle Eastern, African, and American restaurants share streets with high-end Korean and Japanese establishments. It's also where many of Seoul's foreign chefs have set up their most ambitious projects.

Came here for dinner on Sunday. Meat was of good quality, owner teaches you how to eat with various dipping sauce/side dishes which normally for tourist would be hard to figure out ourselves, so it was a nice touch. Service is prompt in such a busy restaurant , shook the owners hand at the end as i was really impressed by both his service and food. I highly recommend people to try black pork combo and kimchi soup is a must as well.

This place serves premium grade aged pork - the servers cooked tableside and gave great tips on pairing the different cuts. One thing: tables are for 4 pax, so addtional pax may need to sit at the walkway where servers tend to hang out, and it's a bit narrow. But the premium pork is worth it. Plus the exhaust system works wonders - no lingering smell on clothes. Food quality and service are top-notch. Great spot for a quality pork fix.

We stumbled upon this restaurant when walking around and it was the best side quest find. The service is amazing and the staff are very friendly. They cooked the meat for us and explained how to eat each part of the pork with what side dish/sauce. The food is so delicious, the pork is very juicy and tender and paired with the side dishes and sauces, it doesn’t taste too greasy or heavy; just a flavour explosion. 10/10 recommend to try this out if you’re in the area! I wish I had more photos to share but was busy enjoying the food
