About 한식

Korean cuisine (hansik) is built around balance — fermented sides (banchan), a steaming bowl of rice, and a main dish that changes with the season. Meals are served all at once rather than in courses, and sharing dishes at the table is the norm. The depth of flavor comes from slow-fermented pastes like doenjang (soybean) and gochujang (chili), which form the backbone of soups, stews, and marinades across the country.

About Jongno-Gu

Jongno-gu is the historic heart of Seoul, containing Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, and Insadong's antique street. The area balances ancient and modern — traditional Korean restaurants, teahouses, and street food vendors operate alongside contemporary galleries and specialty coffee shops. Eating here feels like a connection to centuries of Seoul food culture.

🚩🚩🚩I'm seriously doubting if this is even Korean beef. The price is outrageously high, but it's not tasty at all. The beef texture is very coarse, like beef you'd only buy for a few dozen yuan. Plus, the portion is tiny. I suggest you don't come here, because there are much better options. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🫩🫩🫩

I've never had such terrible Korean beef before. The meat quality was awful, and the service was terrible too. Don't come here!

For solo traveller, avoid this shop if you wanna try the BBQ, there is a minimum ordering quantity of 2 portions of meat (the male waiter only tell me after he set up the bbq equipments). This shop is not authentic, largely run by foreign workers (Pakistani?). The beef brisket is fresh but too fat, the pork belly is meh, nothing special about the food here. Kimchi and side dishes are free flow tho.
