We had the pleasure of dining at the acclaimed Restaurant Allen on our very first day in Seoul — and what a way to start the trip. The moment we stepped inside, we were welcomed into a cosy space that blended modern elegance with a touch of contemporary charm. The restaurant follows a farm-to-table philosophy, with a menu that changes with the seasons to highlight the best local produce. Our experience began with a thoughtful presentation of the day’s seasonal ingredients, all sourced from farms in different region of Korea. From there, we were taken on an unforgettable culinary journey, every dish was beautifully executed, and the harmony between the kitchen and service team made the dining experience feel effortlessly smooth. To top it all off, we were invited on a rare kitchen tour, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the teamwork and precision that have earned Restaurant Allen its two consecutive Michelin stars. It was the perfect ending to an extraordinary meal — one that truly set the tone for the rest of our Seoul adventure.

This is a Michelin 2star restaurant in Seoul. All staffs are very friendly and professional. I felt sophisticated attitudes from staffs as 2star, but personally I felt sorry for main dish which is grilled pork. Duck dish is the best one. Amazing pairing 6 glasses wine include sake. All glasses are good except red wine from Bordeaux. They serve amaizing deserts as well. Overall, I think it's not enough for 2star due to pork main dish.

I tried 2 restaurants that are 2 Michelin starred in Seoul. If the other I tried is 2 star then Restaurant Allen deserves a 3 star. The first one was a pure Korean cuisine that was good but I was left hungry after that I need to buy salt bread immediately after my meal. With restaurant Allen, I was already full at the main course . I’m glad I chose this restaurant as I wanted to try Korean starred restaurant and was surprised to know that Allen is a Korean who used Korean produce. I find no fault with this restaurant and I believe they deserve a 3 star. Will definitely patronize them next year when I return to Seoul.
