SALT HOUSE DELI Mangwon (소금집델리 망원) is a fantastic little spot in Seoul — more of a deli than a full restaurant, but absolutely worth the visit if you appreciate quality, house-made meats. Everything feels thoughtfully crafted, and the flavors really stand out. They serve some great food — simple, delicious, and clearly made with care. Whether you're grabbing a sandwich or picking up meats to take home, you won’t be disappointed. Insider tip: make sure to check the bottom of the last fridge for their homemade smoked caramels. They’re easy to miss, but seriously amazing — smoky, sweet, and completely unique. A must-try!
Food was good but very mild flavours we tried 3 sandwichs. All 3 where good but didn't have much flavour at all.
I visited at 11am when it opened. They sell homemade ham made with Jeju black pork, and their signature menu is Jambon Beurre. Most of the dishes on the menu seemed like they would go well with wine. I had Burrata Coppa Salaad, ELT (Eggplant, Lettuce, and Tomato) Sandwich, and Jambon Sun-dried Tomato Sandwich with arugula, sun-dried tomato, and pesto. They were all good, but I liked Jambon Sun-dried Tomato Sandwich the best. Next time, I’ll visit in the evening and try dishes with wine.
