About 한식

Korean cuisine (hansik) is built around balance — fermented sides (banchan), a steaming bowl of rice, and a main dish that changes with the season. Meals are served all at once rather than in courses, and sharing dishes at the table is the norm. The depth of flavor comes from slow-fermented pastes like doenjang (soybean) and gochujang (chili), which form the backbone of soups, stews, and marinades across the country.

About Yeongdeungpo-Gu

Yeongdeungpo-gu's Times Square mall and Yeouido financial district generate a diverse food scene of department store restaurants, business lunch spots, and the Han River cycling culture that has made outdoor food and coffee culture a fixture of the waterfront.

Highly rated Michelin and blue ribbon marinated crab is a must try! Goes amazingly with warm rice and seaweed. 🦀 🍚

This is definitely a culinary delight for my mini trip here. I’ve been skeptical with raw crab concept, after searching few restaurants, decided to visit this one, especially it is a Michelin recommended for consecutive years. Arrived right after their opening as walk in, the reception lady advised me it may take about one hour to wait. Since my schedule was loose, I didn’t mind and walked around the area a bit as well. I studied on the net how to eat this dish, luckily the restaurant staff explained in details as well. I love the steamed egg dish, the rice is so delicious served in a hot little pot, fragrance of the rice with a bit of burning smell is remarkable!! Adding some warm water, making it a yummy porridge. Now comes the crab marinated in soy sauce, I thought it’s complicated to get the meat out, actually super easy! Just squeeze the meat out of the body, so smooth and easy. I read comments from other places saying it might a bit salty, to me, the seasoning is just perfect. As advised, top it on the rice and wrapped it with seaweed, awww, simply divine! 😋 From the side dishes, I enjoyed the potatoes and also a different type of seaweed served. I wouldn’t mind to have another one, however I’ll leave it to the next time when I’m here. Something to look forward to! Restaurant ambience and service are awesome as well! Especially noticing more local diners here, which is a good sign ;)

My wife absolutely loves Crabs, and this is her favorite way they are served. She agreed that it was the best marinated crab she had ever had. Come here specifically for that, because the menu only has 2 items! You can get in for lunch at opening with no reservation, but make one for dinner!
