About 일식

Japanese cuisine has deep roots in Seoul, shaped by geographic proximity and a long shared history. Seoul-style Japanese restaurants range from affordable sushi conveyor belts and ramen shops to high-end omakase counters. Quality fish is flown in daily, and Korean chefs often put their own spin on Japanese classics — thicker broths, spicier condiments, and seasonal Korean ingredients woven into traditional recipes.

About Songpa-Gu

Songpa-gu includes Jamsil, Olympic Park, and Lotte World Tower — one of the world's tallest buildings and a major tourism hub. The food scene is family-friendly and commercially vibrant: department store food halls, international chains, and Korean comfort food restaurants that cater to the large residential population. Lotte World Mall's food floor alone contains dozens of notable dining options.

Despite being a lunch stop, the course selection is quite excellent. It feels like a great value, and its location in the new Sofitel & KT building makes it an excellent location. It's a great place to take a walk around Seokchon Lake after your meal. The only drawback is that the seating is tight, making it a bit cramped. However, the Umi Shari is always delicious.

The sushi seems to be incredibly fresh. The chefs are meticulous. They personally check the amount of rice, soy sauce, and wasabi, and adjust accordingly. The signature monkfish liver is incredibly delicious. The tuna, in particular, simply melts in your mouth. I'll definitely visit again if I get the chance.

Two-person visit. Reservations are required. Take the elevator to the second floor in the business building, then pass through the automatic doors on the right toward the terrace. The restaurant is on the left. A couple arrived about five minutes late, but once the time came, they started serving the groups that arrived earlier and gradually adjusted to accommodate the late arrivals, which I thought was a smooth operation. The menu was unique overall, and the portions of fish and rice were generous, so I was already full by the last two pieces. The first dish was the steamed egg. The finely strained steamed egg was topped with a thick bonito broth and fried green onions, giving even the steamed egg a unique and unique flavor. The second dish was also an appetizer, which I think was sliced flounder fin marinated in shisho (minced fish sauce). The subsequent courses, which included horse mackerel, yellowtail, tuna, and mackerel, were all impressive in appearance, flavor, and quantity. The final dish was a pudding of egg and yam, cooked over low heat. For the birthday person, they even put a birthday candle in it, creating an unexpectedly wonderful memory. Overall, it was delicious, but after eating it all, the soy sauce flavor lingered in my mouth, making it a bit too salty. The price was 60,000 won per person, which was a good value. Highly recommended.
