After work, I was wondering what to eat near Seokchon Station when dakgalbi (spicy stir-fried chicken) came to mind.
I was craving charcoal-grilled dakgalbi, not soup-style, and I stumbled upon By Chuncheon.
It seems both soup-style dakgalbi and charcoal-grilled dakgalbi originated in Chuncheon.
Anyway, the location on Songridan-gil makes it easily accessible.
The interior is very clean and modern.
The dakgalbi is also presented with great care and attention to detail.
On this visit, I ordered seasoned and salted dakgalbi, as well as makguksu (buckwheat noodles).
The basic menu includes soup, sauce, wraps, and side dishes, which is quite substantial.
The side dishes include pickled vegetables, similar to pickled royal vegetables, which are a nice palate cleanser.
I also really liked the lettuce and perilla leaf wraps, which are rare even at modern pork belly restaurants.
The sauces are three-flavored: wasabi, seasoned, and cheese. The broth is particularly unique and delicious. It reminds me of Chogye Guksu's broth, but it's refreshing, rich, and delicious.
The dakgalbi and noodles I ordered were both delicious, so I'm curious about the other menu items.
The restaurant and food are clean, making it a place I'd love to visit again.
The food was delicious.

I visited because I liked the signboard.
I ordered charcoal grilled chicken ribs and spicy soft tofu stew for lunch.
I wanted to eat makguksu and various other menus because the menu composition was good.
First of all, in the case of the charcoal grilled chicken ribs that I ordered, there were some burnt parts in the meat and there were a lot of meat bones, so it felt like the amount was small compared to the visual. The meat was delicious!
In the case of the soft tofu stew, it was a bit different from the soft tofu styles I had eaten before. It had seafood and ground meat ingredients inside. It was tastier than I thought, and the soft tofu stew was good value for money compared to other menus.
Overall, the menus are okay to eat. The only regret is that the inside of the restaurant is not well ventilated, even though it is not grilled at the table and is grilled.
