Lotte World Tower & Seoul Sky
Lotte World Tower stands 555 meters tall. It's Korea's tallest building and the 6th tallest in the world.
In KPop Demon Hunters, the tower is the secret home and base of the Huntrix members. They train here, plan here, and live double lives as K-pop stars and demon hunters.

Planning Your Visit
The tower complex is large enough to fill an entire day without feeling like you've forced it. Most people come for Seoul Sky, the observatory that spans floors 117 to 123. The glass-floor Sky Deck is the visual payoff — standing above 500 meters of open air with Seoul laid flat beneath you is the kind of thing that takes a moment to process. The film's cinematographers clearly understood this; the aerial shots of the city from this height give KPop Demon Hunters much of its sense of scale.
Timing Seoul Sky
The sunset slot, roughly 30 minutes before and after dusk, is consistently the most popular and sells out earliest. During this window, the city transitions from the warm tones of late afternoon to the first full spread of night lights — the Han River catches the last direct light while the apartment towers to the east begin to glow. If sunset isn't possible, the fully dark night view (after 8PM) is almost as good. Midday visits are fine for visibility but lose the drama of the light.
Book tickets on the Lotte World Tower website at least a day ahead. Weekend sunset slots can sell out three to four days in advance during peak season (April–May, September–October).
Seokchon Lake: The Exterior View
The reflection of the tower in Seokchon Lake, just west of the complex, is one of Seoul's most recognizable images. The lake path is free, quiet, and walkable in about 20 minutes for the full circuit. Blue hour — the 20 to 30 minutes after sunset when the sky holds a deep blue before going dark — produces the best combination of tower lighting and sky color. In early April, the cherry trees that line the lake path bloom simultaneously, creating the image that appears on most travel posts about Jamsil.
Combining with Lotte World Theme Park
The indoor theme park connects to the tower via the mall. It's worth considering if you're visiting with younger travelers or simply want a distinctly Korean theme park experience. The indoor section operates year-round regardless of weather, and the outdoor Magic Island section has its own charm in good conditions. Tickets are sold separately from Seoul Sky.
The Wider Jamsil Area
Jamsil Station anchors an east Seoul district with more to offer than the tower complex. Olympic Park, a 10-minute walk or one stop east, has open green space and rotating outdoor sculpture exhibitions. The park's "Rose Garden" area near the historic stone fortifications is a calm alternative after the tower's density. Sincheon and Gangnam are both within a few stops on Line 2, making Jamsil a practical base for an east-to-Gangnam day.
K-Drama Appearances and Cultural Weight
Lotte World Tower has appeared in several Korean dramas as the shorthand for ultra-modern Seoul — its needle-like profile is distinctive enough that a single establishing shot immediately locates a scene in the present-day city. In KPop Demon Hunters, the choice of this tower as Huntrix's residence is deliberate: it represents a specific kind of Korean success, a building that is simultaneously the tallest in Korea and a piece of visual infrastructure that the whole country recognizes. Huntrix living here is a statement about where K-pop stars exist in Korean culture.
The tower also featured in "Crash Landing on You" exterior shots and has become a de facto symbol of contemporary Seoul in the same way that N Seoul Tower represents a previous era of the city's skyline.
