Korean cuisine (hansik) is built around balance — fermented sides (banchan), a steaming bowl of rice, and a main dish that changes with the season. Meals are served all at once rather than in courses, and sharing dishes at the table is the norm. The depth of flavor comes from slow-fermented pastes like doenjang (soybean) and gochujang (chili), which form the backbone of soups, stews, and marinades across the country.
Yeongdeungpo-gu's Times Square mall and Yeouido financial district generate a diverse food scene of department store restaurants, business lunch spots, and the Han River cycling culture that has made outdoor food and coffee culture a fixture of the waterfront.
Two large fish fillets serve as both a snack and a side dish. The mouthwatering seasoning is sure to make your mouth water.
It was my first time working outside the office near Yeongdeungpo Market Station, and I couldn't find a suitable restaurant.😭 I ordered the fresh cod soup here, and the broth was so refreshing; I'm so glad I chose it! The side dishes were also varied and delicious, and I want to come back to try other menu items next time!

I recommend the braised cutlassfish and braised butterfish! The side dishes are plentiful and high-quality. If you have no appetite, eating braised anglerfish will bring it back quickly. The seasoning on the braised dishes is absolutely fantastic; it's great for mixing with rice or as a drinking snack. It is an old restaurant frequented mainly by the elderly.
