すべて見る →I visited this place because I was craving samgyeopsal (pork belly) after watching a movie at a nearby theater. It was a spontaneous stop, and it was incredibly delicious. As the name suggests, this is a samgyeopsal restaurant themed around Jeju Island. It's conveniently located just a two-minute walk from Maebong Station. And since there's a theater nearby, I noticed quite a few customers visiting after the movie. I ordered samgyeopsal and chose Hallasan Original, a soju that matched the Jeju Island theme. The side dishes served first had their own unique twist. First up were seasoned green onion, pickled vegetables, and green onion kimchi. The green onion kimchi was topped with something that looked like egg yolk marinated in soy sauce. I'd never seen this before, but it was quite delicious. They also served a side dish of fish cake soup with abalone. This alone would be enough to fill several shots of soju. The samgyeopsal was thick and incredibly flavorful. Tomatoes and chili peppers are also provided, which subtly cut through the meat's richness. The meljeot (fermented fish sauce), a must-have at any Jeju Island-themed meat restaurant, is also delicious. I also devoured a hearty bowl of naengmyeon (cold noodles) before leaving the restaurant. I might visit again someday, after a movie, when I'm craving samgyeopsal. It was a delicious meal.
The place is easy to find, the staff are friendly, the service is very fast, the meat is also delicious.
It was a great family gathering with kids! The food was grilled, so it was a great restaurant for a group meal. The meat was delicious, and everyone in the group was satisfied!
