Quality fish is flown in daily, and Korean chefs often put their own spin on Japanese classics — thicker broths, spicier condiments, and seasonal Korean ingredients woven into traditional recipes.
Gangbuk-gu includes the scenic Bukhansan National Park foothills and is known for hiking culture and the restaurants that serve hikers before and after their climbs — hearty soups, makgeolli, and Korean pancakes have been the fuel of choice for generations of weekend walkers.
Since 2021. Revisited. Dinner omakase. While many of the tsumami dishes would be better paired with sake, the selection was bland and weak. I quickly moved on to sushi. The cold octopus was also chewy, and the sea bream was chewy. The rice pudding was a bit chewy at the beginning, which was a shame. The rice pudding at the end was good. This was my second visit, and it seemed to fall far short of the competition in the same price range. Enjoyed the meal.
A variety of sushi was served, and I ordered the recommended sake and enjoyed it. There's also table seating, so it's a great place to sit and chat quietly with your group.
