Seocho-gu — home to Seoul's arts corridor, the Supreme Court, and upscale residential areas — has a refined dining culture to match its address. Garosugil in Seocho is particularly known for its café-lined tree canopy street. Restaurants here tend toward the polished and premium, often with outdoor terraces and wine lists to match.
An old Chinese restaurant (presumably) near Sinnonhyeon Station However, it did not gain much fame because it looked different from the food of traditional Chinese restaurants. Nanjawans' dough was chewy and good, but the sauce tasted too much seasoning, which was a minus. Ohyangjangyuk was also generally okay, but it was a bit of an error to use frozen oyster mushrooms as they were. The sweet and sour pork tasted like rajogi. It should be stir-fried dry, but it was stir-fried with a slightly thick sauce. Still, the jajangmyeon and fried rice at this restaurant taste like those at old Chinese restaurants. I recommend eating it as a meal rather than cooking.
