One of my favorites so far. You need to order on the kiosk while you wait (they don’t say that, they just assume that you know) and then you bring your ticket in to hand the waitress when you sit. More flavorful than just a standard bone broth for the kalguksu. Good sauce on the bibim noodle and also great Mandu. The kimchi was the spiciest I’ve had so far but was great. Big line that moves quickly. They take orders very close to break time but will not take them at that time at all (obviously)

You know, there are places that stay with you. Not because they are fancy, or new, but because they are honest. This restaurant is one of them. I have been enjoying their food for more than twenty years, and let me tell you, they have earned their reputation. This location is one of their few branch restaurants, and the taste is exactly the same as the main one. Their soup is rich and full of flavor. Every spoonful brings a smile. No doubt. And they deserve credit for that. Now, accessibility is not great. There is no subway station nearby. You might wonder how they stay so crowded. It is strange, but somehow they are always full. Waiting is part of the experience. Mandatory. The ordering process is a little different. When you arrive, you insert your credit card into the kiosk, place your order, and take two tickets, your meal ticket and your receipt. Hold onto them. When your turn comes, the staff will guide you to your seat and collect the tickets. It is busy. Very busy. The staff try hard, even in the chaos. They do their best. But they are human too. Do not expect fine dining service. Just appreciate the effort. One more thing. There is no parking lot. And make sure you check their break time before you go. But at the end of the day, it is worth it. The food speaks for itself. Enjoy.

This place is so local, family owned and simple but delicious item!!!! We had noodle soup two so much food and one dumpling like 24$. Service fast and all local ppl here we are the only two tourist. Love love it. I think they are on michline guide here if is the info better than I can describe “Myeongdong Kyoja is a family-owned place in operation since 1966. The restaurant, which offers only four items on the menu, specializes in dumplings and noodle soup. An impressive number of patrons flock here daily, largely because all the dishes, including its signature garlic-laden kimchi, are made in-house. Simple décor and service come with hefty portions at affordable prices. It has a sister operation in the same area of Myeong-dong.” P.s if u don’t finish food no take out containers , all local all final their noodle - we ordered 3 dish it is way too much for two lol
