Dobong-gu in northern Seoul is a predominantly residential district adjacent to Dobongsan Mountain. The local food scene centres on community restaurants and street food vendors rather than tourist-facing establishments, offering an authentic view of how Seoul residents actually eat on a daily basis.
Reasonably priced, decent taste and quantity, and a kiosk. I've had it as takeout a few times before, but I never really thought it was that good. It was just so-so, and I didn't really like the bitterness of the broth. This time, I tried it in the restaurant, and perhaps because the broth was hot, the bitter aftertaste was lessened, which was a nice touch. Overall, I enjoyed the experience. Oh, and while wet wipes were provided at the seats, they weren't individually packaged or in a box. Instead, they were just regular wet wipes in a bag, which was unsightly and raised concerns about hygiene.
