Mapo-gu — home to Hongdae, Sinchon, and Hapjeong — is Seoul's youth and arts district, defined by its university population, live music venues, and creative energy. The food scene is diverse, affordable, and experimental: trendy cafés, late-night pojangmacha, global street food, and boundary-pushing restaurants all compete for attention in this perpetually buzzing neighbourhood.
This is more of a fast food no fuss type of service place. They have the type of Japanese single seat counters for you to order. One thing I’ll say is that their soba noodles were well cooked. They were chewy and not soggy but not too chewy. Take note that the soba is cold. They don’t give lots of kimchi and don’t top it up either so … However the pork was crispy…it wasn’t top quality though. Not super juicy. In fact, I could taste more breading than the meat itself. But it’s ok. I guess I was expecting more cos of the reviews Oh! And not to forget the curry. It’s Japanese style not Korean meaning it’s more savoury and has that CURRY FLAVOUR and not SWEET curry iykwim. You can try this place if u prefer soba over white rice.
Absolutely amazing omurice. It was so good I went here twice during my vacation to Korea. I don't know what cream they put in the curry, but it gives it a really unique flavor. Kimchi miso soup was also great
Simply the best food I had in Seoul. For only 10k won you get a delicious Kimchi hot pot with a pork cutlet, toms of kimchi and spring onion and an egg comes with unlimited rice, cabbage ginger and all kinds of sauces. For 3.5k won you can order a side dish. I went for the udon noodle soup. Stunning. Staff very attentive, friendly and spoke perfect English. Machine ordering in English so no issues there. Can’t wait to go back and try another dish.
