Korean cuisine (hansik) is built around balance — fermented sides (banchan), a steaming bowl of rice, and a main dish that changes with the season. Meals are served all at once rather than in courses, and sharing dishes at the table is the norm. The depth of flavor comes from slow-fermented pastes like doenjang (soybean) and gochujang (chili), which form the backbone of soups, stews, and marinades across the country.

Seocho-gu — home to Seoul's arts corridor, the Supreme Court, and upscale residential areas — has a refined dining culture to match its address. Garosugil in Seocho is particularly known for its café-lined tree canopy street. Restaurants here tend toward the polished and premium, often with outdoor terraces and wine lists to match.
I have tried almost all of their menu and I was mostly happy. Most of the time, there is a long wait and the parking area is quite limited. They are very busy and sometimes it's difficult to see smile on the staff face.

Our favourite donkatsu place! Every time we visit Korea this place is a must! Especially the fish katsu is mesmerizing! So soft on the inside and perfectly crispy and lightly crunchy on the outside! I'm usually a sauce-y person but this is so good I don't even need/want that much tartar sauce. We've been coming here for over 10 years and the food has always been consistently delicious! Highly recommend anyone who is in the area!
