Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), kimbap (seaweed rice rolls), sundae (blood sausage), and odeng (fish cake skewers in broth) are the staples. Most bunsik restaurants are fast, casual, and open late, making them a go-to for a quick hot meal at any hour.
Seongbuk-gu is home to Bukchon's quieter neighbour and Seoul's most literary neighbourhood, with independent bookshops and traditional restaurants tucked between old residential alleys. Ssangmun-dong's street food markets and the traditional teahouses of Samcheong-dong are highlights of this culturally rich but less-touristed district.

すべて見る →This was a seriously good meal. We went a bit overboard for two people and ordered the bulgogi hot pot, the bulgogi bibimbap, and the 만두 (dumplings)... we devoured everything! The bibimbap is particularly tasty and the sauces provided are excellent! I said that I could eat here every day, especially for such a reasonable price. Restaurant is also modern with a cozy fit out, and the bathroom even has a mouthwash station which was a cute touch. The staff were very attentive and helpful despite the language barrier! Thanks for having us.
It's in the basement, so you might pass it by without knowing. The food is clean and good. The set menu is good, and the a la carte menu seems good too.
The place is a little hard to find, off the Main Street and down a small set of stairs. The atmosphere is modern and clean but the staff don’t speak English and there is no English menu which was a bit of a let down. We got the bulgogi set meal (2 persons). It was nice but not mind blowing to be honest. It was also a little small for the price but there is a sufficient amount of beef in it so that might be why. Overall, it was a nice meal but can’t give them more than 3 stars.
