Seodaemun-gu houses Sinchon and Ewha — university neighborhoods known for affordable food, vibrant nightlife, and a youthful dining culture. The area is dense with budget-friendly Korean restaurants, late-night delivery options, and cafés that stay open until the early hours. It's a neighbourhood where eating well on a student budget is entirely achievable.
Menu: Beef Tripe Soup The taste reminds me of the spicy beef soup with red broth I used to eat in the Gyeongbuk region. That spicy flavor serves as the background, and the rich flavor of the beef tripe comes through in this soup. It is tender but not greasy, and spicy but not overly stimulating. I liked that the food stayed hot until the very last bite. The only downside is that because it is so hot, the tripe dissolves into the broth very quickly. Next time, I will try scooping out the tripe first. I am now very curious about the taste of the beef soup. The restaurant is clean, and the owner is friendly. Parking is difficult, so I recommend using public transportation.
