すべて見る →A restaurant specializing in cheonggukjang (fermented soybean paste stew). Located a 7-minute walk from Exit 9 of Samgakji Station. Mungyeong Kongcheonggukjang and stir-fried squid are 000 won each. Spicy! I tried cheonggukjang made exclusively with domestically grown soybeans. Cheonggukjang has a mild flavor with almost no strong odor. It has a slightly sweet flavor, making it suitable for everyone. I found it better when added to bibimbap than on its own. This dish feels like it would make you feel healthier after eating it. The stir-fried squid I ordered with cheonggukjang had a nice spiciness. I'm not sure if it's possible to achieve this flavor with just fire, but I'd vote for the stir-fried squid over the cheonggukjang. It's quite spicy, so mixing it with rice might be a bit challenging for those who don't like spicy food. Still, it's a dish that both looks and tastes good. You can make your own bibimbap here, making it a healthy meal overall. They also serve a few side dishes, which are decent. Store & Tips & Overall Review The store is small, with a few four-person tables. There aren't any two-person tables, but it's popular with solo diners in the evenings. Like a restaurant serving food, it's a solo diner-friendly place. Order at your table and pay at the counter when you leave. The kongguksu (buckwheat noodles) seems to have become popular after "Eat It" (먹을 있습니다). To eat a lot, you'll need at least two dishes for one person. It's been in business for a long time, but it doesn't feel dirty. However, the small space can make it feel a bit cramped.
Amazing find by just Googling for bibimbap near my location at that point. Will definitely be back because the bibimbap was delicious. The owners and staff were helpful and we communicated with some pointing, google translate, and a little bit of English.
