Yongsan-gu contains Itaewon — Seoul's most international neighbourhood — as well as the scenic Hannam district and Yongsan Electronics Market. Itaewon's food scene reflects its global community: Indian, Middle Eastern, African, and American restaurants share streets with high-end Korean and Japanese establishments. It's also where many of Seoul's foreign chefs have set up their most ambitious projects.

すべて見る →If you like sashimi, and in particular if you like tuna sashimi, this is a fantastic place. Bar seating as well as small rooms that can accommodate eight people. Seating in the rooms is on low benches with your legs under the table and your feet on a slightly warmed floor - a Godsend in winter! Staff is friendly. No English. Lunch gives you a few options to choose from but dinner is pretty much a set menu and the only choice you have is between one option featuring fattier pieces of tuna and one featuring leaner. Side dishes include some soups, tempura-style shrimp (served at the end of the meal), etc. But the highlight are the trays of freshly sliced raw tuna. Served with wasabe, and the tables are pre-set with soy sauce and sesame oil. Really delicious, with a variety of cuts from different parts of the tuna. Color ranges from a deep, deep red to an almost pinkish color. Busy place so not a bad idea to call ahead and let them know you're coming - especially if you have more than 2-3 people. Highly recommended!
The sashimi was delicious for the most part especially the one with the peanut paste on top. It's nice that at least the sashimi is unlimited. The raw beef was alright and not as satisfying as the tuna even after the seasonings were applied to my liking. The gimbap was decent, but the crispy rolls were yummy. However, sometimes the sashimi would taste frozen since some of them didn't have enough time to defrost before being served.
Food is perfect due to the fast cycling of fresh tuna that comes from a lot of customers to have tuna continuously. They do not hesitate to provide good quality of tuna with good prices. Service is good enough to enjoy these with good people Mood is good enough because we enjoy this in private room. I will visit this tuna restaurant again and again until I get radiation sickness haha.
