Seodaemun-gu houses Sinchon and Ewha — university neighborhoods known for affordable food, vibrant nightlife, and a youthful dining culture. The area is dense with budget-friendly Korean restaurants, late-night delivery options, and cafés that stay open until the early hours. It's a neighbourhood where eating well on a student budget is entirely achievable.
Cafe Pokpo is a nice place to take a break, especially if you’re looking for affordable drinks. The beverages are cheap and refreshing, making them good value for money. The bread is average and doesn’t particularly stand out, but it’s decent for a light snack. The main highlight of this café is definitely the Hongjecheon artificial waterfall nearby, which attracts many visitors and makes the whole experience more special and relaxing. It’s a good spot to rest while enjoying the scenic surroundings.
Best coffee shop vibe ever!! The waterfall is everything! The coffee is good and the staff is wonderful. There are only a few sweet treats available so if you’re not in the mood for that anyone real food grab it somewhere else but I definitely suggest this is an absolute must do when you go to South Korea. Grab a coffee sit at the waterfall and just relax rest your feet feel the peace, peaceful vibes and enjoy some time here. It is really amazing.!!!
Cafe Pokpo was such a peaceful find: tucked away with an incredible view that made every sip of coffee feel like a small escape. The name literally means “waterfall,” and it lives up to it. You can sit by the window or out on the terrace, look out over the scenery, and just let time slow down for a bit. The coffee was rich and smooth, but not the best, but the view made it 10x better. It’s the kind of place where you don’t need to rush or talk much- just enjoy the quiet and the sound of nature around you. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the interior had that warm, natural aesthetic that fits perfectly with the view. Easily one of my favorite coffee spots for pure atmosphere.
