すべて見る →It was a bit chilly, and I was curious about the local rice noodle place, so I stopped by. It turned out to be a great value! :) They said they don't offer extra portions, but the noodles are so generous that the portions are simply filling. They also have set menus, so you can enjoy them for a cheaper price. Ironically, the best part was the homemade sikhye, which wasn't too sweet and had shaved ice floating on top! I still remembered it the next day. The restaurant's interior was clean and well-decorated, creating a great atmosphere! I would definitely visit again.
Gangnam Pho Noodles is said to taste quite similar to local Vietnamese pho. After hearing about it a few times, I finally visited. Around 11 a.m., a little before lunchtime, there weren't many people there yet. I ordered the basic beef pho. For this neighborhood, the price of 8,900 won is surprising. I went to the self-service bar and grabbed some kimchi, jalapeños, and pickled radish, as well as some cilantro and Cheongyang chili peppers. I loved the fact that I could eat as much cilantro as I wanted. A special feature of this place is that you can make your own sikhye (rice drink). The sikhye is refreshing and not overly sweet, giving it a subtle, smooth texture. The pho was quickly served. I added a generous amount of Vietnamese chili oil I brought from home, and it was delicious. The flavor level went up two or three notches. The generous addition of cilantro and Cheongyang chili peppers gave me a satisfying mouthful. I left the restaurant after having the best meal I've had for a weekend breakfast and lunch. It was delicious.
