Korean cuisine (hansik) is built around balance — fermented sides (banchan), a steaming bowl of rice, and a main dish that changes with the season. Meals are served all at once rather than in courses, and sharing dishes at the table is the norm. The depth of flavor comes from slow-fermented pastes like doenjang (soybean) and gochujang (chili), which form the backbone of soups, stews, and marinades across the country.
Gangnam-gu is Seoul's upscale business and entertainment district south of the Han River. Home to K-pop entertainment companies, COEX Mall, and the Apgujeong-Rodeo shopping strip, it attracts young professionals, tourists, and K-drama fans. Restaurants here tend toward the polished and premium, with a density of international cuisine, high-end Korean dining, and trendy cafés.
The only good thing with this place was the quality if the meat. The staff was uncommited and he didn’t want to recommend anything when we asked. Also note that unlikely to other korean bbq’s they have a pan and they don’t use charcoal. The temperature was to low when he made the meat for us so the meat was more boiled than grilled and didn’t taste good at all, even though the quality of the meat was good. We went to another place to eat immediately after this one, with a charcoal grill. I would not recommend this to anyone, there are so many other good korean bbq’s in Seoul.

Yummy food, attentive staff, and very relaxed and calm atmosphere. Good quality food and clean.
I visited the Nonhyeon branch of Soonjeong Hanwoo Butcher Shop, a popular Korean beef restaurant in Nonhyeon. 😍 A five-minute walk from Exit 4 of Eonju Station, the restaurant's hours are helpfully displayed on the menu board, making it an easy-to-find date spot. The interior is clean and luxurious, thanks to a system that completely absorbs grill smoke without a smoke hood, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Sitting on the window sofa, the lighting and romantic atmosphere complete the romantic mood! As expected from a Korean beef butcher shop, I had high expectations for the quality of the meat, but the Korean beef gopchang jeongol (Korean beef tripe stew) was packed with tripe and a variety of other Korean beef dishes, making it the perfect place to indulge. The fresh Korean beef, meticulous interior, and service are all signature features of this butcher shop, making it a highly recommended destination for dates or small gatherings in Nonhyeon.👍
