Indian restaurants in Seoul cater to the city's international community as well as Koreans who have developed a strong appetite for curry, naan, and tandoor-grilled dishes. Many are run by Indian or Nepalese chefs who source spices directly from South Asia. Itaewon has the highest concentration of Indian restaurants, though they have spread across the city as Korean interest in South Asian cuisine has grown.
Dongdaemun-gu is a 24-hour neighbourhood defined by its massive fashion markets, which draw wholesale buyers and night shoppers around the clock. The food scene is fast, cheap, and designed for people who eat at unconventional hours — naengmyeon restaurants that open at midnight, pojangmacha that come alive at 3am, and kalguksu shops that have served the same recipe for fifty years.
English: I went without much expectation, but it turned out to be one of the best Japanese-style ramen places I've had—even compared to those in Korea. It’s the most authentic Japanese ramen shop I’ve come across. The cozy, small space gives off the vibe of a local ramen bar in Japan. Takeout and delivery are not available—you must dine in. Menu Review: Tonkotsu Ramen The broth is rich and savory with deep pork bone flavor. The noodles are fresh and delicious, and the meat is incredibly tender. Spicy Ramen Basically the same as the tonkotsu broth, just with spicy chili oil added. Flavor is similar overall. Mala Ramen This one really stands out. A mala soup base with grilled meat and fresh noodles—very tasty. If you're into ramen, you must try this place. Highly recommended. --- Korean: I went there without much expectation, but it was the best Japanese ramen I've had in Korea. It's the most authentic Japanese ramen place I've ever had. The cozy atmosphere in the small space feels like a neighborhood ramen place in Japan. They don't offer takeout or delivery; they only serve dine-in. Menu Review: Tonkotsu Ramen The broth is incredibly rich and savory, made with beef bone broth. The noodles are fresh, so they're incredibly tasty, and the meat is incredibly tender. Spicy Ramen The broth is basically tonkotsu ramen, but with a spicy chili oil, so it's almost identical. Mala Ramen This is truly unique. The combination of mala-tang broth, smoky meat, and fresh noodles is incredibly delicious. If you love ramen, this is a must-visit. Highly recommended. Sangat direkomendasikan.
