Seocho-gu — home to Seoul's arts corridor, the Supreme Court, and upscale residential areas — has a refined dining culture to match its address. Garosugil in Seocho is particularly known for its café-lined tree canopy street. Restaurants here tend toward the polished and premium, often with outdoor terraces and wine lists to match.

The portions are generous, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable, making it a great place for nearby office workers to dine. Many places don't even seat one person, but this one was so friendly and welcoming even though I went alone, which made me feel more at ease. Minari is healthy, and it includes vegetables, meat, kalguksu (noodles), and even porridge. There's no place like it. 🇺🇸🇬🇧 This is an amazing Minari (water parsley) Shabu-shabu spot! The portions are generous, the food is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable—perfect for office workers nearby. While many places don't allow solo dining, they were so kind and welcoming even though I came alone, which made me feel right at home. It's a healthy meal with fresh Minari, veggies, meat, kalguksu (noodles), and even porridge to finish. You really can't find a better place than this!
A great restaurant near the Bangbang Intersection bus stop. I always pass by, and it was raining, so I stopped by. It's not your typical barbecue place, but it's not quite a company dinner. I had samgyeopsal (grilled pork) and minari (pork) and minari for shabu-shabu (broth/beef). The broth was refreshing, and the shabu-shabu was easy on the stomach. I finished it off with porridge. The self-service vegetable refill corner only had pickled cabbage and bok choy. It would have been nice if they had provided more minari. For example, they could have added some to the bottom when adding meat or other ingredients. The minari pancake was unusual in that it seemed to have been lightly dusted with tempura flour and fried, which was a bit disappointing. However, the crispy texture was unique. Next time, I'll try the grilled pork belly and minari!
The water parsley is delicious. People seem to eat a lot of duck breast. The pork belly is also delicious.
