すべて見る →I arrived at 7:10 PM on a weekday and had to wait outside for about five minutes because they were cleaning up. I was impressed by the thoughtful consideration they gave me, pouring my drink on ice while I waited. I also received complimentary makguksu (buckwheat noodles). The food was delicious, but I'd give them full marks for their meticulous attention to detail and customer service. Food I ate: 1. Dakgalbi (spicy stir-fried chicken) / Delicious 2. Bibim makguksu (spicy stir-fried noodles) / A bit disappointing because it wasn't cold enough 3. Makguksu (buckwheat noodles) / Above average 4. Cheese fondue / Above average 5. Grilled rice balls / Above average
This is "Park Jae-seong Buckwheat Charcoal Grilled Dakgalbi" located in Sillim. I've always been curious about this place, and I finally visited. It has a respectable rating of 4.9 on Naver and 4.5 on KakaoTalk, which is full of vehemently malicious commenters. I arrived around 8:30, wrote my name and number of people on the blackboard in front of the restaurant, and the wait began. After a full hour, I was finally able to get in. There was a fireplace and chairs in front of the restaurant, and an employee offered each of the waiters a Coke. I politely declined because it was Pepsi, but their thoughtfulness was evident. Exhausted, I sat down, and they offered me three complimentary bowls of buckwheat noodles (water, mixed noodles, and sesame oil) as a thank you for the long wait. I ordered dakgalbi, dakgalbi (dak galbi), dakgalbi (dak neck), and dakgalbi (dak skirt). Except for the dakgalbi (dak skirt), everything was already pre-seasoned, so it wasn't difficult to grill. I understand why people line up. The dakgalbi is delicious. The buckwheat noodles are also excellent. The grilled rice balls, in particular, are a real treat, rivaling the yaki onigiri you'd find at a decent yakitori restaurant. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious, so I plan to visit often.
