Korean cuisine (hansik) is built around balance — fermented sides (banchan), a steaming bowl of rice, and a main dish that changes with the season. Meals are served all at once rather than in courses, and sharing dishes at the table is the norm. The depth of flavor comes from slow-fermented pastes like doenjang (soybean) and gochujang (chili), which form the backbone of soups, stews, and marinades across the country.
Songpa-gu includes Jamsil, Olympic Park, and Lotte World Tower — one of the world's tallest buildings and a major tourism hub. The food scene is family-friendly and commercially vibrant: department store food halls, international chains, and Korean comfort food restaurants that cater to the large residential population. Lotte World Mall's food floor alone contains dozens of notable dining options.
#Sponsored I highly recommend Manjok Ohyang Jokbal, a famous restaurant in Bangi-dong that doesn't have any fishy smells! They also have a good menu of side dishes, so it's great for company dinners. It's delicious... Mandu soup is served as a basic side dish, so it's great to have with alcohol, and the meat is fresh.
I went with my child, and it was nice that they provided separate baby food. Steamed eggs and rice cake dumpling soup were provided as standard, so it was nice that my child, who wasn't yet used to pig's feet, had something to eat. The adults also enjoyed the food. The pig's feet were odorless and chewy, a taste I'll always crave. They also have private rooms, so it would be great for family gatherings.
