Korean cuisine (hansik) is built around balance — fermented sides (banchan), a steaming bowl of rice, and a main dish that changes with the season. Meals are served all at once rather than in courses, and sharing dishes at the table is the norm. The depth of flavor comes from slow-fermented pastes like doenjang (soybean) and gochujang (chili), which form the backbone of soups, stews, and marinades across the country.
Gangnam-gu is Seoul's upscale business and entertainment district south of the Han River. Home to K-pop entertainment companies, COEX Mall, and the Apgujeong-Rodeo shopping strip, it attracts young professionals, tourists, and K-drama fans. Restaurants here tend toward the polished and premium, with a density of international cuisine, high-end Korean dining, and trendy cafés.
They were famous for the spicy pork back rib. It was ok but not that special to line up and wait for hours.. The fried rice was good though. However that's it. In my opinion, they were way over rated. BTW the owner was giving a fearsome pressure look to leave from when we were half done until we left.. It was extremly unpleasant. Good luck.🙏
i don’t even wanna give a 1/10 for service it was truly horrible i came here wearing a shirt and shorts with my hair up and on the way i hurt my leg so my mom went to the convenience store for the bandage while we were waiting and while i was waiting our turn came up but they didn’t even let me sit down because of the way i dressed and made 3 other groups go in front of me simply because my mom wasn’t here and the excuse was that “i didn’t order” so when i did even then they didn’t let me sit even though i was bleeding and was my turn and a nice employee who had a bob with no bangs let me sit down but another employee took away my seat so i had to stand up again and i told them again if i can sit down and they said no simply because my mom wasn’t there and they don’t trust me so i called my mom and told them my mom confirmed the order but even then in a rude tone they told me “are you even sure she said that wait until she comes and j stand” while they let another group go in front of us and then when i went im on the phone call with my mom at this moment they immediately switched up but even then they had to check and have a phone call with my mother to even let me sit down and even then they didnt even give anything the other groups received like simple water aprons and etc and even when my mother said smth they never said sorry and told me that i was too young to trust additionally when my mom called them they lied and told my mom that there was no way for us to order one thing at a time and could only buy the expensive foods when we very much can so instead of getting 20 dollars worth which is the same amount of food they scammed my mom into buying 35 dollars worth
