Located inside House of Shinsegae, it's easily accessible.
Many food courts offer inconsistent quality, but this one, at least, is worth returning for the Hanwoo Hamburger.
However, there are some notable drawbacks.
The diverse staff, comparable to those at "We Are the World," makes for a fun experience, but the waiting and guide lines are a bit unstable, and the seating and chairs are also somewhat uncomfortable.
Given the nature of the terminal, more consideration could be given to luggage movement.
Basic hygiene details like ventilation and uniform management would be greatly appreciated.
Kirin Draft Beer (9,000 won) is hard to recommend.
It's a "pass recommended" option, as both freshness and temperature are questionable.
The main dish of the day, Mido Grill Steak (42,900 won), is immediately noticeable by the discrepancy between the on-site price (39,900 won) and the price listed on Naver and Catch Table (needs an update). The set menu includes 150g of Two-Bul Hanwoo Rib Cut and 200g of Hanwoo Hambak, along with rice, stew, and salad.
The stew was an unexpected treat—the chewy texture of the ingredients and the soybean paste flavor were so good, I couldn't resist.
The cabbage yuzu dressing was passable, but the pickled radish was a bit much.
The problem was the teppan steak.
I went in believing it would be Two-Bul Rib Cut, but the overcooked, chewy texture was a major disappointment.
It seemed to have been re-cooked on the table grill, but the core temperature had already risen enough to prevent the texture from recovering.
Conversely, the Hanwoo hambak exceeded expectations.
It was firm, with a hint of ground meat texture, making it enjoyable to chew.
Ironically, the onion sauce (which has a ketchup-like flavor) for steak pairs perfectly with the hambak.
The moment you scoop up the mashed potatoes on the side and eat it with rice is the highlight of this restaurant. If you ask, "Is it obvious because it's Korean beef?" it's not, but the balance is perfect, leaving me very satisfied.
Overall, if I go back, it seems safe to order mainly hamburgers.
I'll hold off on ordering steak until they improve the temperature and grilling management.
I'd like to ask the restaurant to improve price consistency, manage beer, and improve the seating and waiting area.
Still, the significance lies in finding a trustworthy restaurant in the otherwise barren Gangnam Terminal Food Court.
If you're expecting a wait for a table, it's roughly 80-90 minutes. One thing to note: this was my first time using this app to wait remotely, so I just showed up and waited. However, you have to confirm your visit on the waitlist entry device when you arrive, so if you don't do this about 5 minutes before your arrival, your reservation will be automatically canceled. I almost couldn't get in.
The staff were quick and attentive, and the food was all good, but the basic hamburger with demi-glace sauce was the standout.
The only dishes I didn't really need were the beef cutlet and shrimp fries.
If I go again, I'll probably order one basic hamburger per person.
The fusilli on the side was really bland (the noodles and sauce were completely separate, and the seasoning wasn't even good. Pizza Hut's fusilli salad is better). I think they should either improve it or switch to a different side dish.
Anyway, it's a House of Shinsegae, so the waiting area was nice and overall, I was satisfied.
Hanwoo Hamburger and Hanwoo Cheese Fries, a proper Western-style restaurant discovered!
I found a proper hamburger steak restaurant after a long time! This time, I tried Hanwoo Hamburger Steak and Hanwoo Cheese Fries, and I was really satisfied.
The Hanwoo Hamburger Steak bursts with meat juice the moment you cut it, and the subtle smoky flavor adds to the taste.
The Hanwoo Cheese Fries that I ordered together tasted just like the ones I used to eat at Western-style restaurants when I was young. The taste that brings back memories and the generous portions allowed me to enjoy it generously.
However, the only regret I have is the long waiting time. It can't be helped because it's so popular, but I think it's worth the wait for this level of taste. There's a catch table, so it's not difficult.
I wish there were more proper hamburger steak restaurants like this! If you're planning on visiting, I recommend considering the waiting time.
