Korean cuisine (hansik) is built around balance — fermented sides (banchan), a steaming bowl of rice, and a main dish that changes with the season. Meals are served all at once rather than in courses, and sharing dishes at the table is the norm. The depth of flavor comes from slow-fermented pastes like doenjang (soybean) and gochujang (chili), which form the backbone of soups, stews, and marinades across the country.
Yeongdeungpo-gu's Times Square mall and Yeouido financial district generate a diverse food scene of department store restaurants, business lunch spots, and the Han River cycling culture that has made outdoor food and coffee culture a fixture of the waterfront.
(Yeouido native, 31 years of experience) Great for charcoal-grilled meat wraps during lunch. Reasonably priced. I haven't been here for dinner. This is the closest decent restaurant near the Han River. If you're looking for a meal before heading to the Han River, I recommend this place as a duo with the Budae Jjigae restaurant in the same building. If you're not going here, I recommend getting delivery/ramen from Han River or dining at The Hyundai or IFC. It's a bit crowded with office workers during weekday lunches. It looks small from the outside, but it's quite spacious inside.
