Yeongdeungpo-gu's Times Square mall and Yeouido financial district generate a diverse food scene of department store restaurants, business lunch spots, and the Han River cycling culture that has made outdoor food and coffee culture a fixture of the waterfront.
The sake and snacks pair well together, and they make great recommendations. If only I lived nearby, I'd visit every week.
It is inconvenient for foreigners to use because you can only visit by making a reservation via the app. Since the menu changes quarterly, I look forward to it every time I visit!
"Torigny" in Munrae-dong is an izakaya featuring tachi (skewered meats) and abalone entrails. It's a must-visit for those just starting out, and its diverse and reasonably priced menu features items like skewers in the 1,000 won range, seasonal sashimi, and abalone innards pasta for 20,000 won. The original "Nyangjima" chef's cooking is intact, and the fresh ingredients and dedication ensure a high level of satisfaction. While the wait is long and seating is limited, the value and taste are both excellent. For those who prefer soju, I wish they would raise the price of soju to accommodate their customers. Honestly, it was a bit more disappointing than at Nyangjima.
