Korean cuisine (hansik) is built around balance — fermented sides (banchan), a steaming bowl of rice, and a main dish that changes with the season. Meals are served all at once rather than in courses, and sharing dishes at the table is the norm. The depth of flavor comes from slow-fermented pastes like doenjang (soybean) and gochujang (chili), which form the backbone of soups, stews, and marinades across the country.

Hong Eun Naru Samgyeopsal, a famous pork belly restaurant in Hongun-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, is gaining popularity through word-of-mouth on social media platforms like Instagram and blogs for its "muk-eun-ji samgyeopsal" (aged pork belly) and "saeng-samgyeopsal." The pork belly (16,000 won) is thick, 180g, and has a tender texture and rich flavor. Grilling it until golden brown on a griddle brings out the meat's rich juices, and the accompanying side dishes and aged pork add a nice kick to the meal. The pros include, first, the meat is fresh and flavorful. Second, many people say the portions are generous for the price. Third, the friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere make it a popular spot for family, friends, and company dinners. However, some reviews cite poor hygiene or even a lack of it, and while the price per serving is 16,000 won, it's not cheap, many find the quality satisfactory. With an average rating of 4 out of 5, many reviews consistently mention a high return visit rate, and the fresh pork belly and fried rice are also a delicacy. Whether you're looking for "Hongun-dong pork belly," "Inwangsan gourmet restaurant," "famous meat restaurant," "cost-effective pork belly," or a "recommended place for company dinners," Hongun Naruteo Samgyeopsal is a must-try. 🍖

From the outside, it looks like just another pork belly place. But once you step inside and try it, it's delicious. The mackerel is thick and perfectly cooked. The stew is generous in portions, and the six side dishes are delicious. Sometimes, it's a bit salty. The servers are friendly, if a bit blunt. There's parking for one or two cars in front of the restaurant.
